Open Access, Copyright, and Authorship Policy

1. Open Access Model

Prestress Technology is an open access journal. All articles published in the journal are freely available online to readers immediately upon publication, without any subscription fees or access barriers. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles.

2. Licensing

All articles published in Prestress Technology are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, authors retain copyright of their work while granting anyone the right to:

• Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
• Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially

The only condition is that proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. The full terms of the CC BY 4.0 license are available at Creative Commons.

3. Article Processing Charges

The journal currently does not levy article processing charges. All publishing costs are borne by the sponsoring institution.

4. Author Rights

Under the CC BY 4.0 license, authors retain full copyright of their published work. Authors are permitted to deposit their published articles in institutional or subject repositories (open access) immediately upon publication.

5. Compliance with Funders' Open Access Mandates

Prestress Technology complies with the open access policies of major research funders. Authors with funder-mandated open access requirements are encouraged to verify the journal's compliance with their specific funder's policy.

6. Authorship Criteria

Prestress Technology adheres to the authorship guidelines established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). To be listed as an author, an individual must meet all four of the following criteria:

• Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work, or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work;
• Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content;
• Final approval of the version to be published;
• Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved;
• AI as Author Prohibited: Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) cannot be listed as authors. Authorship requires accountability for the work, which AI cannot provide.

7. Contributors Not Meeting Authorship Criteria

Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the above criteria (e.g., technical assistance, writing assistance, general support) should be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgments" section of the manuscript, with their permission.

8. Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for:

• Managing all communications between the journal and all co-authors
• Ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript
• Submitting the manuscript through the journal's submission system
• Responding to editorial queries and post-publication comments

9. Changes to Authorship

Any changes to authorship (including additions, deletions, or reordering of names) after manuscript submission must be requested in writing to the Editor-in-Chief. All authors must sign a statement agreeing to the proposed change.

10. ORCID Suggestion

The journal suggests that all authors provide their ORCID iD (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) upon submission. Authors can register for free at https://orcid.org. ORCID helps distinguish between authors with similar names and ensures accurate attribution of scholarly output. Currently, authors may enter their ORCID iD as text in the submission system's comments field or on the first page of the manuscript.
