Abstract:Badong Yangtze River Highway Bridge is a super large bridge project of National Highway 209 across the Yangtze River in western Hubei Province. Its main bridge is a PC cable-stayed bridge with double cable plane and full floating system with the main span of 388 meters. This paper introduces the main structural design of the main girder of cable-stayed bridge and the stress analysis of the cable-stayed cable. Construction of the bridge began in March 2001 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2004.

Abstract:At present, although external prestressed Bridges have been more common in some developed countries, the domestic application is still in its infancy. There are still many technical problems in external prestressed Bridges that need further study. In this paper, the failure mechanism of external prestressed Bridges is analyzed, and the basic design suggestions of external prestressed Bridges are put forward.

Abstract:From a small fishing port, Hong Kong has developed into a world metropolis in more than 100 years. The development process is closely related to the construction of infrastructure, and the role of road and bridge projects is particularly obvious and important. This paper introduces some important world-class bridge projects in Hong Kong and their prospects. The key technologies, innovation points, quality management, economic and social benefits are emphatically introduced.
