Due to long-term disrepair and the development of transportation, many bridges have begun to lose their original load-bearing capacity and become dangerous bridges under the influence of increased traffic density and tonnage. This paper describes the method of using external prestressing technology to strengthen dangerous bridges so as to restore or exceed their original traffic function.
