Abstract:This article introduces the structural characteristics of Nanning Bridge, the world's first large span curved beam asymmetric outward tilting arch bridge, and elaborates on the construction plan of "arch first, beam later, arch supported beam, and steel rib arch assembled by diagonal tension buckle cantilever". Practice has proven that this construction method is successful and feasible. Under this guidance, the temporary tie rods, temporary suspension rods, temporary crossbeams, and cable wind cables set up to increase the longitudinal and transverse stability of the arch ribs play a crucial role in the installation safety and quality assurance of the entire externally inclined structure, providing good reference experience for similar bridges in the future
