Abstract:The original author of this article is Professor Liang Qingchang, a renowned Indonesian Chinese bridge designer. The article introduces new technologies for the design and application of the Grand Wisata cable-stayed bridge in Indonesia. Although the bridge has a small span, it represents some new technologies applied in concrete cable-stayed bridge construction in Indonesia: high-strength self compacting concrete, prefabricated beams with pre camber in cable-stayed bridge systems, and the use of unbonded epoxy steel strands for cable-stayed cables
