Abstract:The anchorage zone of the stay cable on the tower column is an important structure that transfers the self weight and external load of the upper structure borne by the stay cable of the cable-stayed bridge to the main tower. Ensuring the safety of the anchorage zone between the cable-stayed cable and the main tower is crucial and one of the key factors for the success or failure of the cable-stayed bridge. Based on the the Pearl River Huangpu Bridge, this paper briefly introduces the scheme, process and results of the full-scale segmental model test of the cable tower anchorage zone of the bridge, and also obtains important results such as cracking load and ultimate bearing load.
