This paper describes the structure, advantages and disadvantages and applicable conditions of prestressed anchor cables commonly used in geotechnical engineering reinforcement at present, especially emphasizing the standard structure of various anchor cables used as permanent support means. The purpose of this paper is to make the users of anchor cables have a correct understanding of various anchor cables and correct non-standard construction methods. When designing the anchor cable, the type of anchor cable should be selected correctly according to the property of rock mass, engineering requirements and the function of anchor cable.
