The Bridge occupies a prominent position in the harbour of Hong Kong and will become a major symbol of Hong Kong upon completion. The main span of the bridge is 1018m, and such a large span of cable-stayed bridge will be a world record and a major breakthrough in cable-stayed bridge technology.
