    Abstract:

    This paper introduces the prestressing system in the large-span self-anchored (self-balancing) basket-type steel-tube-concrete center-bearing tie-arch bridge and explains the important role of prestressing technology in the construction of bridges, in combination with the design of the construction drawings of the Beijing Shipping River Bridge in Pizhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. The new prestressing materials and new anchorage system used in this bridge are also briefly introduced in this paper.
