In many segmental and monolithic box-girder bridges, accurate estimation of prestress friction loss remains an unresolved issue. Based on practical experience, this paper analyzes the post-tensioning friction loss and deviation loss between segmental and monolithic girders, and studies the advantages and disadvantages of prestressing tendons coated with lubricant.
