This paper introduces the structural characteristics and working principle of the long-term vibrating-wire anchor-cable dynamometer. A new mathematical model is established to improve the measurement accuracy and long-term stability of the sensor, and its application in long-term monitoring of anchor-cable tension in prestressed bridges, cable-stayed bridges, hydropower dams, slopes, etc. is presented.
