Abstract:Pressure dispersed anchor cable is a new type of anchor cable that has recently emerged. The "Technical Specification for Rock and Soil Anchor Rods (Cables)" approved for implementation in 2005 recommended it as a permanent anchor cable, greatly expanding its scope of engineering applications. From the published papers, it can be seen that many units are still conducting in-depth research. This article elaborates on the background, structure, and stress characteristics of pressure dispersed anchor cables, comprehensively analyzes the problems that exist when used for permanent support in geotechnical reinforcement, and clearly proposes that pressure dispersed anchor cables should not be used as observation anchor cables or permanent engineering anchor cables in geotechnical reinforcement
