A large number of prestressed rock anchor cables are used in the Three Gorges Project. The selection, function, problems and countermeasures of the Three Gorges anchor cables are introduced in detail. The author's views and suggestions on the construction tools and new anti-corrosion structures of rock anchors are also put forward.
