This paper is mainly based on the theory of cable-stayed bridges and partially cable-stayed bridges as well as its own experience in design and construction, in which the scientificity and feasibility of the widening and reconstruction program of the main bridge of Wuhe-Huaihe Highway Bridge are theoretically reviewed.
